Stationery Stories was honoured to participate as a guest seller at the annual Christmas fair at Kasteel Groenveld a few weeks ago. Kasteel Groeneveld is a gorgeous Dutch castle in Baarn with so much to do and see, it has a great cafe, pretty gardens and right now also hosts a fun children’s exposition in the attic.  Tesselschade Arbeid Adelt made the super choice to hold their annual Christmas fair there, selling their well known home made goods like smock dresses and knitted children’s toys.

It was my first fair so I was not quite sure what to expect and how to prepare really. One thing I was certain on was to create bespoke cards for Tesselschade highlighting some of their key products. After all, I am all for bespoke stationery so why not customised stationery for this great Dutch institution? I ended up creating 3 different baby cards and one Christmas card specifically for Tesselschade. It was a good move – the cards were very well received and it meant that Stationery Stories fitted right in. After all, this studio is all about telling personal stories and creating meaningful stationery.

I also launched a new line of correspondence cards at the fair with the following designs: fox, pigeon, peacock, hare, teddy, owl, duck. The cards are available with a monogram, just an initial, your full name or whatever else you wish for. I still need to set up a webshop, but in the meantime you can email or phone me for specific orders. The teddy and hare designs are selling well as baby gifts for god children with their names on it. And I never realised that there are so many people in the Netherlands with a fox or other meaning in their name which attracts them to certain designs.

All in all, the Arbeid Adelt Kasteel Groeneveld fair was a success and also a lot of fun.
